my tuner also checked each point in the entire system for leaks, so nothing was leaking boost.

there is no way your losing that much boost with fmic kit. either leak in fmic, leak in piping to and from it, or leak in blow off valve. trouble shoot each peice one at a time and i bet you find the problem.
Well, i just got done checkign everything. I found a HUGE leak from the BOV. The o-ring for the TiAL BOV wiggle itself out of position during installation. I fixed that but i still only have around 3psi, no way anything over 4.

If you do the math if the aftercooler loses a pound, and then the fmic loses another .5psi on top of that, id be at 4.2psi. Im still missing a pound somehow.

BOV shutters more than a steady "PSHHHH", sounds liek a CHEW-CEW-CHEW-CHEW

how do you run an aftercooler and fmic at the same time?

ugh, i think ive explained this too many times in this thread, but here is goes one last time.

From my understanding and the little research ive done, the COMPTECH Aftercooler loses around 1psi. UR says that you lose an additional .5psi goign from an aftercooelr to their FMIC.

1psi <-- lose from COMPTECH afetrcooler
.5psi <-- lose from FMIC what replacing a car already equipped with an Aftercooler
1.5psi total lose is what i should see when i go from no aftercooler to a FMIC.

However, UR informed me that they did that test on a car with 9psi. "Our tests were on a 9psi system that was already running an aftercooler"

Im getting really confused by everything. It seems that all cars are different and their are no similairities to the pressure loss on FMIC's. A local guy lost 3-3.5psi with his FMIC, others claim other loses. Looks like I am just going to have to install my 9psi pulley i just purchased and hope for the best. Also, maybe the more boost your run, the less boost you lose...i have no idea how that would make sence.

and every car i've heard of with the UR FMIC has lost only 1psi, like UR claims. i've spoken to a few people running an FMIC setup on a low boost (less than or equal to 7psi) setup, and they all lost as much boost as you did (myself included). so it seems like for FMICs to be efficient enough to justify their use, you need to run at least a 9psi pulley.

you're going to want a better tuning method than the Comptech FPR, and also some bigger injectors if you're switching to a 9psi pulley.

my plan later on is k pro, spacer, injectors, small...very small pulley and a extrememly good tune.

I realize a 9psi pulley is a big jump. But from the amount im running now and how much i lost, 9psi pulley is what im looking for, that "should" get me back to 6psi.

with a 9psi pulley you will most likely make 8psi. my friend lkingcuongl is running the same setup with a 9psi pulley making 8psi.
