what wheels and tires are you going with?
I bought a set of Kosei K1TS's a while back when Tire rack was closing them out for cheap but had just put new tires on the stock wheels. They are not the fanciest wheels out there but they were a few pounds lighter than stock AP1's at each corner. The new ones are lighter than what I have, 17's over sixteens, and have pretty much the AP2 width's instead of the narrower AP1's.

Hopefully the wider tires will be about the same weight with a narrower sidewall and I can save a few pounds with better traction. Not sure the tires I want yet.

The other day I was coming down a long slight lefty sweeper freeway on ramp and it was cool out. I was coming out of the apex at just under sixty with just a slight curve remaining for about the next 60 yards until it was totally straight so I dropped it into third and stepped on it to feel the rush of the blower in Vtec. It pulled like a mofo and went straight but I heard the tires squeeling the whole way. I kind of wondered how close it was to stepping out right there even though it felt like it was completely stable.

bad ass. should be a lot of fun! tires are so hard to choose. for me, i dont daily my s2k so i went with wear out faster but super sticky tires. whats funny is i have close to 7k miles on my set of toyo ra1's and the rears just hit half thread. fronts are at around 6/32. both started at 8/32. what sucks is the rears are now basically slicks with two lines cut in them. well depends, in the rain it will suck, but dry it will be even nicer lol.

the nitto nt01 looks nice, but its a 6/32 thread depth, 100 thread wear, and prolly wont be too much fun in anything but a nice day. but i bet it would grip nice.

everyone loves the star specs, and the kumho xs looks good too. and those should last longer.

I love my NT01s. Excellent stick and as much as I drive work well. Just be careful not to launch on them as they dont slip. 275-40s on widened AP2V2s. I know my rear would be toast on a warm night.
