still driving it gingerly right now. so far, noise is still loud to me, a mechanical gear like noise, but no grease all over the place yet. should have some data on WOT feelings by end of week.

I was driving my friends stiegemeier ported cobra today and I can tell you from personal experience that it is much louder and more noticeable than the stock eaton.

You gonna get that thing re-tuned soon?

When does the Vibrant resonator go in?

At WOT you can hear it scream more... and at idle it sounds a bit more mechanical with a very slight whistle if you give it a little gas.

put another 40 miles of cruising on the car. drives fine part throttle. once i get all this gas out of it i will test wot. its funny, 40 miles in my truck woulda been 4 or more gallons of gas. damn you s2k for being efficient. used up maybe 2+ gallons lol.

dirivng it last night with the top down though made me remember why i love this car so much. great night out and the car just feels perfect.

cant wait to see what happens wot.
2 scenarios.
1. blower gives up again and i throw it to the ground.
2. holds up and i have fun

Camuman your thread made me take a second look at my car last night and made me notice one thing in particular: The whole intake route is a half an inch wider than the moss manifold outlet. I may not do anything to the blower but the first thing on my winter list is to get that manifold ported.

I bet that is the cheapest little upgrade I can find that might actually make a little difference.

My tires are finally gone so I can change into my wider lightweight wheels next spring too. First gear is worthless right now if I get passed half throttle. Especially if it is cool outside.

Good luck when you open it up.

def experiment with stuff to see if you can get better performance. what i can say right now is dont get the blower ported yet. i have been successful in one avenue, i turned a 100% reliable setup wiht countless beatings on it into a trainwreck, and i am kinda annoyed about that right now.

what wheels and tires are you going with? man i remember when i could get this thing to step out on a stomp in second gear. tires are so important. i love it now, grip wot in first!
