thats an odd thing to toast unless the oil leaked out.. we've toasted ALOT of blowers and the only time we had that problem was when the mess leaked.
I agree with this comming from owning a lightning and being on plenty of forums for them . I also think assy failure or damage during disassembly might of happened and just was not caught

How's the vibrant res? That is what I used when my Mugen one broke a weld inside. It makes my Mugen exhaust sound even better than it did Vibrant makes great stuff

havent even got that installed yet. i dont weld. so hoping next week i will head to exhaust shop and have it installed.

hoping to at least drive the car tonight.

i put about 6 miles on it today just cruising. first thing that i notice, and i bet its wrong, is the blower is so damn loud at idle. just sounds like its broken from the start. gonna call them monday to see whats up.

Well I hope everything works out but I thought that one of the downsides of porting the blower is an big increase in noise.

really depends on the noise - if it sounds like a bag of marbles, then it is probably not a result of porting.

Can you post a sound clip?
