It was explained to me that pulling air thru the tb and pushing air thru a tb were two different things. That's why my tb might be maxed out

Not positive though. In a few weeks I'll get this whore on the dyno again.
from what i have seen these blowers dont really care whats on the pressure side.

cleaning up the intake side is where you need to consentrate on.

on a 2.2 liter b-series with an m90 we changed from a 65mm tb/itr intake manifold to a 90mm tb/victor x manifold, there was no real difference.

oh you had the m90 downstream before the intake mani? well, like i said, i read a lot on Kennebell's website, a guy i trust on PD blowers, and he has seen restrictions preblower cause power decreases. and that TB size is more important when you suck thru it.

anywho, i know the blower is undersized, thats the unfortunate truth

maybe i'm thinking yours is backwards.

we had the blower blowing INTO the throttle body.

if you have the blower sucking through the throttle body then yes... put the biggest tb you can find on there. roots blowers start to fall off very quickly when there are restrictions on the intake side of the blower

quick recap, my asura is 3" mid to dual 2.5", the hytech is 3" mid to dual 2.5" twin loop.

so here are the pics. packaging was great, parts look fantastic. i had the mid pipe done in 3" instead of the normal 2.75". this will come up later. install is simple. though easier with two people. mid pipe to back half is a slip joint, and honestly, it woulda been easier to ship if he had flanged the mufflers. anywho...

got it installed, and had to cut some of a part that you see up above. this most likely because i had the mid pipe 3". anywho, 10 mins with the dremel and its good to go.

it appears that hytech took brians reccomendation and shortened the tips, as they just barely come to the edge of the bumper. very nice.

started it up, and immediately i can tell its quieter then my asura. idle is around 77 db. cruising is around low/mid 80s. very nice. WOT, my god is it quiet is all i can say. i hear the blower screaming now.

now, in the dreaded 3-4k range, there still is some drone. its not gone. but, going from asura to this, my old ears are happy. again, remember, i have test pipe, a hfc def makes it quieter. but, wiht my test pipe its not bad at all.

all in all, i am happy.
