engine bay cleaning
(i'm not sure if this belongs under wash and wax)
i have a question about engine bay cleaning. i did a search, but didn't find anything specific to my needs. i want to spray down everything under my hood. i believe i need to cover my battery terminals, distributor, alternator, and starter, but since i have a supercharger, do i need to cover anything else on it? and i assume it's a good idea to cover the edfc motors?

The only thing i cover when i rinse my engine is my alternator. I use tin foil to wrap it so it stays put when formed around it and it wont melt. We dont have distributers btw. We have coils on plug set ups... The starter is under the intake manifold and your not gonna have easy access to that. I wash my engine once a month with no issues with only covering the alternator. If you wanna cover other things for a little insurance it wont hurt anyways.
