Engine is in and running
I just finished up my short block install and drove the car for the first time in about 3 months today. Installed a new shortblock, 2mm cometic headgasket, hondata intake manifold gasket, new tct, 3.9" pulley and a few other goodies.
The engine runs smooth as silk and shifts the same. I want to thank everyone on this forum for giving me the info to make this happen with no problems what so ever in the end.
Only hitch at the end was trying to bleed the coolant system. I did the method that I read from here and it worked great. All you have to do is jack up the front of the car so the radiator is highest point in system then remove the rubber bleeder cap, fill it up till coolant comes out bleeder, close bleeder and run it for 2 fan cycles filling up the radiator along the way. Worked like a charm.
I will be breaking in the engine in the next couple weeks then hopefully paying inline pro a visit to tune my set up with 750cc injectors, aem ems w/ uego and 3 bar map sensor. I will post dyno numbers when it is completed.
Once again I just want to thank everyone on this board. All the info I needed was on here and in the helms manual. I took my time and made sure everything was done right and replaced as much as I could along the way for preventative maintenance.
Can't wait to hook the belt back up, start boosting again and close in on the 400hp club.
S2KI.com is the shizznittle snip snap!!!!
