EVAP removal?
Does the AEM even control the oem EVAP anymore?
I put the motor in the car yesterday (finally) and I wanted to remove it but wasn't sure.
It's a bundle of solenoids/hoses/etc from the tank/charcoal canister.
Curious if anyone else has, I know I would still need to vent the tank, I removed it on my 99 Si I used to have.
Pro's/con's on this car?
Any advice/thoughts/flames?
Thanks.

Here is a pic for anyone not familiar.

i unplugged mine from the intake plenum, but kept the solenoid and everything in. Not sure if you're planning on keeping the car forever or selling it, but its really annoying to reinstall all the stuff when you want to sell it. That theory worked out recently as i was able to just plug the vacuum line back on when i had to put the car back to stock to pass inspection. Whatever the case, i'd try and not let the gas tank just vent to atmosphere, hazardous gases aside, as gasoline evaporates at room temperature.

Yes I ran a plug on the vent for a while but I was building up a great deal of pressure in the tank and thought it was probably a bad idea. I have kind of gotten past the resale part at this point, I know it will take a great deal to get it back.
A friend of mine vented his tank to his gas door. Just inside the door where the nozzle goes, he drilled a small hole and pushed the vac hose from his canister/tank to there, so it vents properly.
I learned the hard way that you can't just plug it off, or it makes it hard to fill your car up w/o the gas pump shutting off every 10 seconds, lol.
I am passed the resale thing myself, this car is NOT going back to stock, ever (or as long as I own it).
Appreciate the extra comments, I'll be pulling it all this evening.
