EVAP removal?
As I understand it, the AEM only controls the purge solenoid at one TPS setting. It will only open the valve above the user set TPS value. There is no way to turn it off above that set value. So, if it's turned on above say 20% throttle, it's always open even in boost. This, I suspect, is why I'm getting a strong fuel smell after boosting. The only purpose of the vent valve is for evap testing, so that's not really needed. In theory, a check valve in between the purge solenoid and the fuel tank to prevent boost from entering, should render the system functional.
Though its stated to work on USDM/Canadian spec cars.
