For the "blown" AP2 guys, Toyota Supra Turbo PCV valves are a direct replacement and you can get them for about $4.00. All metal construction, just like the Honda part and from what a few others have claimed, they can hold more boost.

You can. But you won't get the benefit of a vacuum in the crank case when not boosting, and you will probably get a lot of sludge build up long range.

 

fperra, the sludge/oil should be caught in the other crank case vent. In my case, I just catch it with an oil air separator. I won't get the extra vaccuum effect but the crank's pressure is still positive to blow out any excess oil in the cam cover......just hopefully not too high crank's pressure otherwise it will be rebuild time Sludge is only there if there is too much contaminants into the oil from coolant or infrequent oil change.

 

do the F20C's and F22C's have the two ports on the back to run a catch can setup like the Endyn one for B/D/H motors?

 

What are the negatives of the krank vent? I remember reading something a while ago about there being possible issues with older cars, but something that shouldn't be a problem with newer cars like ours??

I know this is an old thread but seeing as I stumbled accross it in my research for krank vents, I will answer it for future "like-quested" people.

It is not OLDER cars, but old/bad quality motor oil. Seeing as most people use Mobile 1, etc there should not be much worries surrounding this topic. Change your oil regularly at about 3500 miles (or whatever, depending on preference) and you will be fine.
