I stripped off the valve cover oem paint as it kept flaking off and it being a potential to get into a cylinder when replacing spark plugs. I also wont have to worry about being careful and not scratching the valve cover. Keeping things simple and easy to work on, staying the course.

I saw people do it on the exhaust housings for the first TS kits for SR20s. They send the abrasive clay through the volute, so I don't think it changes the housing to blade clearance, it just increases the effective A/R.

Picked up a Vibrant Performance 3" 10"long flexpipe specially designed for turbo cars. Should keep manifold from cracking or bolts backing out prematurely in the long run. I went with the best quality longest one i could find. The more play/vibrations/stress it can absorb the better. Will keep many headaches away in the future. Will be adding a 3" vband clamp on each end, will make taking off exhaust much simpler in the future. Again making things easier to diagnose/pull apart in the future is vital to maintaining a good relationship with your S2K.

Tune will be either a remote tune with Evans Tuning, or i will drive up to T1 Race Development in Dallas. Planning to upgrade valvetrain before being professionally tuned but for now im

Also upgraded to some used SOS hood dampers. An amazing mod for turbod vehicles especially if you have a garage you can just leave the hood up after arriving home lets the entire engine bay cool off and you can check every single trip for leaks and only takes seconds to unlatch hood and swing it open.
tuning it myself

What diameter pipe goes from the IC to the throttle body? I'm guessing 2.5"? Any plans for a vented hood?
