hey guys so I’ve got an Ap1 that is getting a gt3076r and I’m nearing the finishing phases of the build. It is in a truck and getting a ford 9” and I’m at the point of needing to pick a gear ratio. I’m gonna be running 255/40r17s so basically same height as Stock ap1 tires. I know the common gears are 3.9 and 3.63 but I have open choices. The standard options for me are 3.89 or 3.7. Would love any advice...

Truck should stay in the 450hp range and most just driven on weekends and fun road trips. Just straight line stuff as it’s a showtruck. It’s 4 linked and will probably have nt-05 or pilots. Any other info needed just ask. Would love the lower rpm cruising stuff but don’t want to be too tall etc.

In your case it in a show car so I really don’t think it matters right?

I would stay with the stock 4.10 for anything under 500whp. I run a 3.9 rear gear and I love it.

It’s a minitruck and is still lightweight. It’s a show truck that I still want to make good power in and have fun. I don’t have Stock gears as it’s getting a new rearend so I have choices....

4.10 gearing is best for that power level
