I'll look into the Quaife but doesn't it use the weak stock housing?

The new GSR swap looks to be about what it will cost me for the new V160 swap. I think I may be able to get Kings to swing me a package deal on a new V160, clutchmasters twin and conversion kit but we will see.

Does the new V160 come with shifter, bracket and all accessories needed?

Nevermind, just noticed that the new V160 doesn't come with the shifter. How lame is that and why? Where would I get that stuff and how much? The damn trans is already $7k, good grief. Could they not include the shifter and bracket of your choice for that price? Geeez...

No it doesn't use the stock housing, its a complete gearbox swap so if there were any issues with the housing then be that on Quaife head I can't be certain but I think its a racing escort gearbox housing with a S2000 bell housing, the original s2000 Quaife box was the 60 series with a tq rating of 500,the 69 series as stated above is 800+tq.

I am hoping that everything on my car drivetrain wise will take 1000 hp without failing, but untill I get my motor back and start using that power I won't know.Ive also got the DSS propshaft and 5.9 driveshafts.......to be honest unless the car is used on the drag strip I can't see 1000 hp being usable.

Yeah, I took a look at it and now remember FB doing this for you. Definitely sick setup but way out of my budget. LOL

I've got the IP 300zx swapped rear but with the 2.9 DSS axels and will need to upgrade to the 5.9 if I plan on dig running. I'm hoping the 2.9's will be ok for roll running for now at around 900 whp. They've been fine so far at 800. Not sure if the stock coild will still hold up there either. My original 16k mile coils have held up ok at 800 but 900 may be too much and I may need to go with the AEM pencil coils too.

Are you running that power on the road or the strip?Im not sure if I could put that power down on the street. The 508 I've got at the moment is as much as I want to put down on the street.I will have it re mapped to use my current power or there abouts in the first 3 gears then whatever additional power I have in the top 3 or even 2 gears.

I'm using a precision bb 6266 turbo and I'm not sure what it will max out at,Fernando seems to think around 850-870whp,I might just dyno it at that and wind it back to something more street friendly

As mine is running 508 at the fly I cannot imagine running double that power at the wheels,I was getting wheel spin at 130 in 5th in the wet very scary.... To me anyways

Good luck with yours,it sound amazing

I have been running that power on the street with 275 DR's out back set at about 18 psi. It seems to hook pretty well but you can feel the rear wanting to break loose and we have it set up to run about 550 whp through 1st and 2nd gears and at the top of 2nd is when full power comes on.

BTW, I used to be on the 6262 and it was maxing out right around 800 or so whp @ 32-33 psi but the 6266 may be able to get you closer to 850.

Thanks for the good luck wishes.
