How's everyone else running with this cold winter weather?
The SC/AC likes the cold weather, but the KAAZ hates it.

I need to rig up some kind of differential pre-heater.

I was wondering about that... the VLSD in my 300ZX diff has been making all sorts of funky noises while the car was warming up.

How you like the Kaaz Red?

I absoloutely love the KAAZ, but wouldn't recommend them to anyone who doesn't want to add some "personality" to their car.

Nice Matt! You opted to go with the 35R upgrade, right?

I think the 300ZX Diff that I purchased has a fair bit of wear & tear, so eventually I am going to have it ripped apart to replace all bushings, washers, etc. While doing so I am probably going to upgrade the Limited Slip as well. From what I have seen, the following are available :

Quaife - $1,630
Cusco 1.5 Way - $1,153
Kaaz 1.5 Way - $787

I would include the ATS carbon 1.5 in that list. I have a OS Giken 1.5 in my Nissan Skyline R33 and wish I had gone with the ATS. The OS, like the Kaaz, makes way too much noise.

Any good recommendations on where to get the ATS, and pricing?

As long as the KAAZ has fresh oil and is warmed up it doesn't make any noise at all, but it's sure cranky when it's cold. I've developed a feel for driving it cold and can avoid chattering 99.9% of the time, but it still makes it's presence known. Certainly not for everyone.

Other than cold driving, it's a pretty good unit ?

A lot of opinions off the traditional saying, "you get what you pay for". From time to time though, you can find a cheap replacement that is just as good... as long as you can sacrifice some things.

As I have not done too much LSD research, I'm not really sure which way to go. Obviously I have some time since I am not planning to replace this until spring gets closer.
