Default Fuel System setup for e85 on MY06 w SOS

Hello everyone,

I have been on the boards for a while now and have done my share of posting, etc. I searched on this topic for a while and have come up with some good information, but would like to verify everything in my setup as best I can. Mase is coming to town to tune our cars Feb. 26th and I want to have my car perfect as I can for him. I have tried to call, email, and message him but have not been able to get a hold of him, as he is a very busy man.

My setup is as follows

MY06 GPW S2000

Stock engine and CR with 10,500 miles.

SOS You tune Supercharged kit with a 1200 Paxton substituted for the 1220
Prochargers brand "FlowCharger" boost a pump. Sends 20V to fuel puump after 2psi of boost
Kpro Engine management
Upgraded heat exchanger
King Motorsports big bore TB
InlinePro return fuel system with Walbro 255 pump and InlinePro fuel rail
ID 2000cc injectors
Fuel Lab regulator
T1R response header
2.75in Berk HFC
3.0in Ultimate Racing cat back w/ duals
Competition Clutch Stage 2 with organic disc
AP1 flywheel

Question is> Do I need an inline pump as well? The flowcharger is supose to increase volume up to 30% up top. I had the car tuned last summer prior to the return system on 92oct and made 415whp. I am wanting to up the boost some, and a stock motor I think that e85 should make it a bit safer. Im thinking 15psi is where Ill end up.

Can someone make a recommendation as to my fuel needs? Thanks in advance.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention what power level I'm loking for. There is a guy on here making 477whp on a turbo AP2v2 with the returnless system and a walbro255. I think with e85 and a little more boost 500 should be attainable.

you should be fine with a 255 pump and e85 at 400ish hp.. i wouldnt try for much more.

what duty cycle are your injectors at? add 25-30% to the max duty cycle, if you dont have head room for that then you dont have room for e85

I've inquired about this with a few people that run e85 and I've done some searching on the internet, and so far I've seen people claim that 350hp is the most a walbro 255 can support on e85 while others say up to 450 is possible. You're going to be using a boost a pump (well thats the kenne belle version, lol) so I'd be interested in seeing how much you can squeak out.

It might be a better idea to go with a mkiv supra pump (280lph) or I hear the Ford GT pump is pretty insane (1000hp on gas with a single pump? who knows if that's accurate)

Ill have to do some more looking around. I wish there were more people on e85 so that there would be more trial and error of what works. If I was to add a bosch 044 Inline, without replacing the stock fuel line, how would you splice it? It is a hard plastic line. Running a -8AN line would be good, but is it neccessary for 500?

Thanks for the help. Hoping to hear from ya @ Inline on here or some more e85 pioneers with running 500.

Joey, we both should know by now that Scott has all the answers to pretty much everything.

Scott calculated it and came up with a required 350lph if I remember correctly. Its difficult to be exact on it though because we dont have a number for engine efficiency (not sure if this is right term). Also all pumps flow differently depending on voltage curves, size of fuels lines/restrictions/length of fuel lines. Its really a lot of info. Its much simplier to go with what has been proven. I was thinking of running the bosch 044 inline and dropping the flowcharger. I would place the pump on the firewall, straight off the factory hard line.

I spoke with Tony at T1 today asking how where he would place the pump. We got to talking about things and he said that he made 450whp with only a walbro 255 intank and ID1000 on e85. He thought that my setup combined with the flowcharger should be good for the power I want, or close to it. Also, I am running ID2000s, so that does change a bit. Tony is a great guy, always takes the time with me when I have questions. Couldnt ask for more.

I purchased a return fuel system for Inline a couple weeks ago and am just now installing it. It is a great kit so far. I had called Inline and spoke to Ya about a question I had on the regulator. We spoke for 45 min about anything and everything on the car I could think of. Tires, differentials, short blocks, boost, fun in the car, shop cars he has worked on, so much info to take in. He also thought that my fuel setup should get me where I want. I may try a little more boost thatn 15 as well. Its all up to what Mase feels comfortable with. I am looking forward to this day! Ya was very helpful. I am nervous about trying to get this car setup perfect so te more reassurance I can get the better.

I will keep updating as I go.
