I was thinking about it tonight, and I think I figured the noise out. I believe the turbine is spinning fast enough to break up the intake charge, but not fast enough to produce boost . It's like a WWII air raid siren. That's assuming you have the same noise as me, and it only occurs at slow speeds around 2500rpm. It's a steady noise that varies with RPM.
How did you come to that conclusion, what is the relationship between the two that causes that reasonace?

Ok, I can officially say that I'm experiencing a "howling syndrome" myself!

I have narrowed down the causes to several things:

The fuel pump
The downpipe design
the thrust bearing (unlikely)

The noise definitely is not coming from the engine bay and is most audible when you are in the car (I have a hard top btw)

The car seems to run normal otherwise.

p.s. I have changed the airfilter out also, but i dont think its the problem
