There is a reason why large turbos are not avalible with internal gates. GReddy kits are designed and marketed for the person that doesn't care about performance, they just want a blow off valve.
Exactly, LARGE turbos, this turbo by far isn't large, and i guess by your definition, people "who care about performance" all want 400+ HP large turbos right??

People need to stop comparing apples to oranges. It doesn't matter if the pricing on this kit isn't as low as people wanted compared to turbo kits that make more power, there will always be people that want THIS kit, as in, smaller turbo, reliable tune, and a good reliable daily driver turbo car. IE. not looking to be a dyno queen.

This kit and other kits with a larger turbo and external wastegates are on different levels. It's all about buyer preference.

this kit would be best for me simply cause its bolt on and go without spending another 1500-2000 for aem ems and tune, im more interested in full boost as early as possible whether than hitting 400+ hp, i want my 0-80 times to be faster, i dont care about going 100+ mph

Most of the 400rwhp+ turbo guys are reliable and NOT dyno queens.

Stop making up excuses to try and make this kit seem better then it really is. Turbos arn't nearly as unreliable as you guys want to believe

Then uh why not get an inlinepro turbo kit, GT3071R, 675cc injectors, tune (don't tell me you'd trust some generic tune from greddy), and an emanage blue all for AT MOST 1000 dollars more, make nearly 200rwhp more, have just as fast spool up, and be just as reliable with out the downsides of the greddy kit (internal wastegate / no bov / etc)?

reliable for now, but running more than 9lbs (or so) on the S2000's high stock compression wont be for long. And you can use a thicker head gasket, but that will take more labor. the point is, the greddy kit is so easy to install, a novice can do it, no need to take the head off for a HG, no need for tuning, and EXTREMELY reliable straight out of the box. It is a conservative tune, on purpose, more power can be made simply by increasing the boost, but then the reliability factor comes into play.
