HP= (TQ)(RPM)/5252
That is the correct formula.
As Tq drops at the top it is not unheard of to see HP still increase simple because the rpms are still increasing.
And my opinion of GReddy kits...save your money. Interal gates are about as good as a one legged man in an a$$ kicking contest. You will experiance creep and spikes when you start making power. They simpley can not flow as well as exteral dumps. There is a reason why large turbos are not avalible with internal gates. GReddy kits are designed and marketed for the person that doesn't care about performance, they just want a blow off valve.

(1/5252) is a constant (and only works when using hp and lb-ft)
internal wastegate is perfect for a kit designed to make 300-350whp. less plumbing, less noise, less heat.

270?? The dyno is on page 1... i put down 279.5rwhp letting off early at ~8400rpm. again on a dyno dynamics dynomometer. if you want to see 300+, just dyno on a dynopack you'll see 10-12% more hp than on DD.

Can I buy the $4000 inlinepro kit, bolt on and drive the piss out of it reliably with no more added costs than what comes with their $4000 kit? Thats what makes the greddy tempting because that is what i have been led to believe

you cant just bolt on the inline pro kit, you have to get some sort of fuel management. if you drive the piss out of it...well than your gonna go way over your initial invesment of $4000 without any fmu.

ya i am great with statistics, how many years has greddy been in the game producing reliable turbo kits? probably longer than you have had a license to drive
Because they can make reliable kits on other cars doesn't necessarly mean it will be reliable on this car. I'm not saying it won't be but its rediculous to say that this kit WILL be reliable when only one person has the kit installed

i understand wht your sayin bout dont jump all over this kit yet, but you gotta realize there are people out there not looking for 400 hp for their daily driver
Personally, if they can get CARB certified this kit would be a great choice at its price of around 4300 dollars. If it doesn't get certified, I think it should be sub 4000 but thats just me.
anyway, i don't know why you are spending your life on this thread arguing AGAINST it!
But the track record thing has been brought up earlier in this thread. Sure the Z33 kits weren't that great, but Greddy's Honda turbo track record has been great. No company is 100% perfect, if there was a company like that, they would be ruling the aftermarket industry.
AND, most of the Z33 guys blew up b/c they tried to boost up. That motor is very finicky. Honda motors are easy to tune, which is why most of them are very reliable daily drivers (proven over the years). The s2000 is/should be no different, it's just on the higher compression side. But that's why the boost is set on the low side---to be safe! I know for a FACT that the kit can be boosted up a couple psi right now and still be safe as well. Safe meaning, A/F in the 10.5-11.1:1.
I would just be weary of all of the people who buy this kit then boost up too much (because we all know there will be those people), and blow their motor, then hate on the kit, but somehow fail to leave out on their hating thread that they boosted up too much. lol. (This has happened on the Z33 forums).
