Default Greddy Turbo + Meth

Hey guys,

Just got my final numbers with my aquamist kit and tune, with a little more boost.

Before the meth on Jon's dyno I made 288whp and 213tq @10psi.

I am very happy with the car! As you can see I have made tons more tq but only 15 more whp.

Was expecting around 320-330whp though, any ideas guys?

Any thoughts would be appreciated

Thank you to Jon@HBSpeed for a great clean install and tune

Very good numbers.

I bet that 257 ft/lbs of torque feels insane!!!
I cant wait to have Jon tune my car finally.

Is that kit really that inefficient? I understand its a log manifold, but man... Same boost on a better kit is good for more than 400rwhp.

Good toruq numbers, though. Kind of a late spool (4500 peak tq) for that turbine, no?

my car (ap2 greddy) hits full boost at 3500 rpm with full torque right around 3700ish rpm

i think its very difficult to have a a log manifold with 400whp on stock compression at under 10 psi, all while retaining a quick spool.. if you can find one let me know, because that is what im looking for at the moment!

Psi means very little. You MUST look at the cfm.

i think if you had an inline kit and used a gt28rs or gt2871 you would basically have a greddy kit

you could use a gt3071 with the greddy manifold but at the end of the day, your slightly higher peak number comes at the price of spooling later, which to me isn't worth it (for someone who wants stock compression and quick spool, and a relatively conservative tune)

at the end of the day the greddy kit isn't really all that 'restrictive' as most claim.. rather, the turbo just doesn't flow as well up top due to itsincredible low end spool qualities

Agreed on the spool. It feels like a bigger motor was dropped in. I hit 10psi at about 2800.

i never tried to see if how high it would boost at lower rpms.. my guess is my max boost of 7-7.5 psi.. you got at 10 by being in a higher gear and giving it some gas i presume? if i start in first gear, rpms go by too quick to hit max at a very low rpm like 2800
