Is that kit really that inefficient? I understand its a log manifold, but man... Same boost on a better kit is good for more than 400rwhp.

Good toruq numbers, though. Kind of a late spool (4500 peak tq) for that turbine, no?

John
that is just where peak tq is. i'm hitting 245tq at 3900.

I am VERY happy with the car. Jon said if I went AEM ems I could see 20-30 more whp.

cool, nice TQ number, how hard is this to maintain?
I'm not getting on it that hard because there is so much tq and my tires blow, but it does break loose easily in first for sure.

Is that possible to extract 30 more HP out of the same hardware with just a different EMS? What is it about the Ultimate that is so restrictive?

I am going to do the AEM Meth kit and a HFC, but I dont know if I am going to shoot for 12psi, I almost ant the Meth as more of a safety net then a tool to extract more HP, but well see

Nice numbers by the way

Anyone know how difficult it is to install an AEM Meth injection kit? My buddy who installed my turbo is going to help me

I am wondering the same thing actually. Can anyone chime in? Will a standalone help that much?

What do you guys think is hurting the top end so much? The turbo? Injectors?
running an AEM would give you more definition in adjusting the timing and fueling.

He made a lot more midrange torque because thats where Peak torque is! You can add more timing and the motor will give more power. Up top, the turbo is running out of its efficiency range and can't keep up with the flow of the motor, and even with more timing added, it won't react as much as it would midrange! Adding more boost might add some power, and with meth injection (added octane), you should be able to make a little bit more peak power, if thats something you want to do...

I'm not surprised about the mid range pick up.

A buddy of mine here in Houston, has the GReddy kit. He was able to make around 300hp, with close to 270-280 ft lbs. of torque.

As they say, it's all in the tuning. Perhaps his torque is so high, due to the better tunability of the AEM EMS he is running
