John is me.

I did not see a power curve, so I assumed boost would build until peak torque...

I think the lower power output has to do with boosting the turbine a bit past its efficiency range. But the meth should more than make up for the temp increase from the turbine fan...

I thought the main knock on a log manifold was that it retained heat, resulting in higher charge temp, on top of it not spooling as quickly due to improper lengths on the runners.

Overall, with the meth, I would expect InlinePro like numbers... meth should reduce charge heat from overspinning the turbine. It would probably spool similarly, as the InlinePro manifold is also a log.

I would be interested in your fuel solution... Are the Greddy injectors big enough to handle 12.5psi? I thought they were only 440's.

Nice numbers on the torque! That thing must be a BLAST to drive in traffic! And I agree EMS FTW!

Granted my kit is a tubular manifold, and a much larger turbine, but I am making 335rwhp on only 7 psi (6.25 on my gauge). I would think the log and the turbine would not account for a net loss of power, when running almost twice my boost level...

How is the power curve? Steady increase to redline, or does it plateau at a lower RPM? DYNO CHART!

Damn that is a nice curve, it must be a blast to drive.

Awesome work Brilliant!

Must look at doing something similar as well once I get my car sorted out.

Meth Injection raises the octane level and cools the charge right? Just a newbie question.... wouldnt E85 fuel do similar things except needing larger injectors?

Where did you get the kit? and how exactly does it work. I would love to read more about it and add it to my Greddy turbo kit later on! Is it constantly at that power level or is it more like NOS where you have to activate it by a button to get a temporary boost of power? Thanks man!

Yeah, my kit is HP Performance. I was just saying that the larger turbine and the tubular manifold I didn't think would gave it a 10 percent power advantage at almost half the boost.

BAsed on that dyno, though, it looks like you were tuning more for torque than power.

Where is VTEC set? Log manifolds like to have it pushed back a good bit for power.

1.vtec is still at 6k

2. i bought the kit from Jon at HBSpeed

3. Meth does raise octane level yes, also allows you to boost past efficiency of turbo.

4. I'm still trying to figure out why peak hp did not increase with more boost. :-\

What duty cycle are you injectors running? I would think 12.5psi would be right around their max. I believe Mase maxed out the 750's around 15 psi on Phil's car... 1000 cc were close to maxed @ 22 psi too I believe.

What is your AFR? Might try pushing VTEC back to 7k-ish. I believe that is how NFRS2000NYC had his tuned. definitely don't want to lower it from the stock 6200rpm.

I was also looking for InlinePro like numbers (assuming not fuel limited), as the meth injection takes away the problems associated with over spinning the turbine.
