Does anyone with this kit a BOV have a tower brace? I am upgrading my suspension, and wanted to get an STB just to clean up a hood a little (I know they don't do much)....but think I might have some clearance issues. A photo or STBs you know that are "high" over the throttle body would help out. Thanks guys.
I put my blow off in the WORST position (but it sure looks nice) causing me to have to sell my spoon STB. If you position the blow off right it will fit fine, mine just hit the weld on flange.

Can you show me a photo of your engine bay head on? I just want to see where your BOV is. I am 99% sure mine will interfere.

Since this kit does not have a BOV included by default you can mount the flange anywhere.

I was actually thinking about hiding it somewhere in the front of the car instead of in the engine bay.

It's too late. Mine is mounted, and it's one of the largest BOVs on the market today. I think it's 1/2" too tall for a STB though.

Hi, am thinking of plonking down for this kit, but have some issues that i need sorted.

Am presently driving a RHD, 2008 AP1. It comes with DBW and VSA.

1. Is there any difference between the RHD (Jap) and LHD (USA) version of the kit?

2. Does the kit factor in DBW for the AP1?

3. Will the VSA still work with the Emanage fixed on?

4. The Emanage replaces the stock ECU or does it just piggyback? How and where does the harness plug in? When I was running the Motec M400 in my ex-Ap1, it only piggybacks onto the stock ECU even though it is meant to be a replacement ECU.

5. Is the original maps for the Emanage locked so my tuner needs to start from scratch?

Kindly add your replies before I proceed.

thank you.

1. I have no idea.
2. Do you mean AP2? There is a kit for both.
3. Yes
4. It's a piggyback with a pre-built y-harness. Very easy install.
5. They are locked, but the unlocked maps are available.
6. Read kix's thread on his install, and every page of this thread. There is a wealth of information in them.

Thanks for reply.

Somehow i think q1 will be of relevance to me as my mechanic told me with the auxilliaries (battery, steering rack) flipped around, there may be issues with clearance.

am still holding back worried that i will pour 5 grand into the drain.

wonder if i contact greddy with my specs, will they know what to do. dont think they will specially make one for AP1 that comes with DBW and VSA.

sigh....

Definitely call, or email them. They'll be able to tell you right away.

there will be no clearance issues with mounting this kit on a RHD s2k. Iono about the ECU questions.

Is Kix's car DBW? or has anyone installed on DBW enabled cars?
