S2000 Forced Induction S2000 Turbocharging and S2000 supercharging, for that extra kick.

Has anybody else had problems with Haltech Platinum Pro?

almost 3 weeks and no misfire issue. did notice that when updating it i got a message along the lines of (new update may change current map, continue?) car runs a little different since then but not 100% sure. could be the 100+ degree heat we're having down here.

I did some troubleshooting tonight to rule out mechanical damage. Everything appears to be in check.

Started the car again and it idled great during the initial cold start rpm spike then back to the oscillating loop. I did manage to throw a code this time.

P0373 | Engine Position Error.

I am currently back on the latest production firmware, v1.12 I believe. I'm curious if this beta firmware may have caused damage to the ECU?

I have confirmed the cam sensor wheels are intact and there's no reason for the sensors to die overnight.

My car currently has amazing cold start and idle; started it up this afternoon and let it idle for about 5 minutes after doing the TCT fix and it started up pretty quick and idled great at 14.6-14.8 AFR the whole time. Once the engine gets warm though its a whole different beast. Dips down real low and sometimes stalls at stoplights, and if it doesn't stall it goes into a bit of an up-down idle till it can settle itself out, but even still the AFR's are usually leaner than desired. I assumed this was due to the tune and am dropping it off to get worked on a bit tomorrow and Friday, so I guess I'll see what the tuner can work out for me.

I had that issue as well with the updated firmware. I just figured it was the new engine so maybe it was related.

actually now that i think about it, matt had tuned my car and even with the a/c on when the fans came on it would hold its rpm. now sometimes when the fans kick on itll dip. not horribly but a lot more than it used to.

Here's some updates.

The messed up idle solved itself once she warmed up. When it was cold and idling like shit I checked the logs and all the other sensor inputs seem fine... I also checked the trigger patterns, both cam and crank sensors are registering signals and there are no missed counters (which rules out bad wiring or poor connection at the crank and cam sensors).

When cold, the idle RPM was fluctuating like crazy, but all the sensor inputs are fine and no compensations were active... At the time it seems like the only reason for the car to do this is from erratic readings from the crank sensor itself. It could be sensor issue, or firmware related. But why would it be fine when it's hot? Inductive prox sensors shouldn't be affected by heat.

To top it off a NEW issue surfaced once it was warm. It would continue to try and idle once shut off, key removed even. Vid below.

Something must be related to tie all these symptoms together. Electrical gremlins

Luckily I have access to a new ECU I can swap in quickly to try.

Will you be trying another haltech ecu? And for a couple of us to throw crank codes with the same few weeks is incredibly odd...
