S2000 Forced Induction S2000 Turbocharging and S2000 supercharging, for that extra kick.

Has anybody else had problems with Haltech Platinum Pro?

OK its update time.

Facebook trolling didnt work (please did you really think it would?). I apologise if i havent replied to anyone that has emailed me personally, as i had said before i would contact you when i have more news...unfortunately that news hasnt come. Its not from lack of trying (which some of you on this thread will know as you have been actively involved in helping us pinpoint this issue and solve it - thank you again for your support).
Some of our "test cars" have been off the road or we havent been able to get any conclusive info back from (if your one of those guys who is testing and hasnt replied to an email from me or scott please get back to us with your findings !).

In an effort to escalate and solve this issue i actually went out and purchased an S2000 this week to beat the sh*t out of and hopefully get some answers, if any of you have any sure fire tricks on how to make this thing play up let me know, my email is matt@haltech.com (and FYI we have two different Matt's at haltech, me in the USA and another Matt in Australia...so it gets abit confusing sometimes)

To put some fears at ease, no engine damage has been reported on this thread (or anywhere else for that matter) as a result of this random issue. This doesnt mean we arent trying to find out what is happening (and therefore solve it), it just doesnt seam to be an issue that'll cause a blow up.

If anyone is in southern california or lake havasu (i need a vacation) and is having this issue hit me up on my email and i'll buy you a taco and a six pack of fosters if i can get some equipment on your car to get more data.

Jeff - you have a PM

Cheers for the update Matt.

A little bit of constructive criticism. Even if there has been no "progress" toward a solution. Verbal conformation that the issue hasn't been tossed on the back burner is all that was required here.

To be honest, I personally felt left in the dark without any responses to email or this thread (as have many others). The "don't call us, we'll call you" approach made it appear the issue was being ignored.

It obviously wasn't which is good to hear.

Has anyone tried a simple pull down resistor on the crank and cam sensors? I have had a similar issue on an F40 where there crank sensor voltage was so high at high RPM that it was actually causing interference with the cam sensor. A simple pull down resister was all that was needed to solve the problem. If that's the case it fits the symptoms pretty well, voltage is directly proportional to RPM and it wouldn't necessarily happen every time.

It's been awhile since I've had a scope on those sensors so I can't remember how high the voltage actually gets and I don't have one here now to check. For those of you considering AEM consider this; Haltech admits they have a problem and are actively trying to fix it. AEM has equal or greater issues in terms of their ignition driver reliability which can and has caused coil damage on hundreds of cars and they still pretend they've never heard of the issue despite pages and pages of threads on their own forum.
