you are quoting static compression. dynamic compression is what you want to focus on. when this motor goes into vtec, the dynamic compression drops to like 9ish:1. thats one of the reasons why this motor holds up so well. well that and quench area. google it lol.

How exactly is a rainbow made? How exactly does the sun set? How exactly does a positrack rear end on a Plymouth work? It just is/does.

Absolutely phenomenal answer, but if you don't know please dont clog up my thread : ) I asked a genuine question.

Why is one better than the other, is not a stupid question, it's quite relevant when trying to run 500 hp through an engine that's going to be running slightly higher compression than normal.

Thanks, dan : )

Like what? I'm not after any sort of attitude, I'm after advice, and this forum is great for it. I'm merely giving a retort equalling the level of the post he made. I don't see how some sort of Internet bashing has come about from me just asking for some friendly advise, but because someone is more knowledgable than I am on a subject that I'm asking about, which is "why is one better than the other, and why does one fail more than the other", I get a thread full of answers (which has been great), but one post with an attitude, if you didn't know, why couldn't you just say, "I don't know", not try and make me look like an idiot? And if you do know, can you please enlighten me with some knowledge! Your very certain of yourself, and this obviously hasn't come from no-where, so share the wealth! Hahaha

Since you didn't like my obviously sarcastic/funny response.........I make 300hp per cylinder on a stock gasket without any failures. Is that a good enough reason?

Technically I can't explain the differences between the 2 and what makes one better than the other, except one DEFINITELY WORKS!!!

No,I do apologise, unfortunatly, a lot of humour+sarcasm is lost over the internet, as I'm sure you can appreciate, I read it as you insulting my jntellegance, and any answer you gave I wouldnt understand, forgive me! My mood isn't the best today also, as the clutch just started slipping in my other car, a bit of a bad one. I appreciate everyone's advice, thankyou for coming back with a reply, it's very appreciated : ) and yes, that's a good enough reason my man! Haha!

Like I said, I'll be buying a standard one for it no doubt : )
