Default Help with the Greddy Turbo Kit

Hey guys,

Just have some questions for those of you who've had the Greddy Turbo Kit. I have an AP2 S2000.

1) Is a fuel pump required? (I searched and some people have it, and some say its not needed for AP2's and they just use the stock one)

2) Once my kit is installed, I'll have to drive about 30 minutes to my tuner. I'll be using FlashPRO in my setup and I was wondering what would be easier on the engine while I drive down. Should I run a separate intake tube/filter and run the stock basemap on my ECU, or should I have everything connected and run the Greddy basemap?

Thanks guys!

1) you have dbw? Probably be ok with stock fuel pump, but it's cheap and easy.

2) greddy flashpro base map

Sweet thanks for the direct response - I do have DBW. I was worried driving an untuned car on the highway for 30 minutes though, especially considering the Greddy kit spools up pretty fast.

Haha, you can't drive gently for 30 minutes?

Haha nah, I guess what I meant to imply was since the turbo spools so quick and highway speeds are roughly 3.5-4k rpm, the turbo would be almost fully spooled cruising at that speed.

You'll be completely fine, you can definitely drive without the turbo spooling up at all if you're careful. Just make sure you go through all the gears, up to about 3k in each gear. No problem at all. Even if it does spool a bit it shouldn't be anything to worry about.

Past experience suggests that controlling your foot is a major factor in controlling boost you'll be fine even with sc u can rev up to 5-6k rpm and still be in vacuum
