wait so because it has a badge that says Pfab that makes it authentic??? Has your buddy tried contacting Pfab I'm pretty sure he would have fized the issue... I have several friends that run Pfab manifolds and none of them have ever had an issue.... Sounds like he bought a knock off ebay PFab manifold, this thread was started about a PFAB manifold and clearly is not from Pfab.

we are not rookies to buying parts, I know authentic when i see it as ive been around the honda seen since people were turboeing there d series with HF manifolds. to add to that I have bought ebay manifolds in my early years, definitly not made out of that cheap stainless like ebay. You can say its not a pfab all you want but google and you will find numerous accounts of pfab manis cracking. to add to this yes this thread was not started about wether pfab crack, it was about if thats a pfab and definitly not. I am currently waiting to see if i can find pictures of the pfab manifold in question, but glad to hear you guys have had great luck with pfab

I'm pretty sure PFAB has a warranty for cracked manifolds, if it did crack, and he got it repaired, it could be that the machine shop didn't do a quality job and weakened the manifold thus it keeps cracking.

heres the manifold in question, Definitly not a knock off. also I asked him exactly how long he had the car with the kit on he said less than 2 months and it was cracked 3/4s of the way around the t3 flange and 1/2 way around the dump flange. and he never asked pfab to repair cause he did not feel like waiting, all manifolds crack but less than two months is rediculous. who wants to buy stuff to keep waiting for it to come back

Pang offers a replacement warranty. If ur friend bothered to send it back to him he would have probably gotten a replacement due to manufacture defect. As long as he's original owner, it's not modified in any way, he will honor his warranty. Slamming the reputation of a well known reputable fabricator without following the right course of action is stupid. If there's a flaw with the metal in the tubing or the welds didn't penetrate he would fix the issue no problem.

point was a full race, afi etc will not crack like this. its a pita to keep pulling shit off your car to send back and forth. the manifold cracked, period and it was a pfab. if the company was as good as you claim then the welds should have been penetrated properly. also when cars are built to race in classes every weekend people do not have time to wait for stuff to go back and forth. so lets agree pfab is a decent manifold if you dont want to spend 1200-1500 and the car can sit for awhile every time it breaks. that works

The fact is this is isolated. You're making it sound like there's constant downtime and its going to break no matter what. This is false, every product has a failure rate. These manifolds have an exceptionally low failure rate. Stop making it sound like its going to break no matter what because of one bad experience that wasn't handled properly by your friend. I haven't had any issues with mine nor have I read countless threads bitching about pfab.

Short runner, compact top mount is ideal for the s2000. Spools fast, low lag and makes power efficiently.

So taking it off to get welded up 6 times as you claim was better then pulling it off and sending it back to Pfab to get fixed or replaced? Something doesnt add up

Truth be told, every turbo build will have some kind of downtime at some point. Using that as an excuse to not ship it back for warranty replacement / repair is moronic.

Exactly if you want to bash the company atleast give them the chance to make it right first. I had fitment issues with a turbo manifold and I didnt just run out and start bashing the company. I called them explained the issue and we got it worked out.
