That's what I'm thinking. This company is too legit to not have a reason for why they did it. I emailed Richard but he's on vacation. I would feel better just knowing the explanation.

If machined correctly to have a snug fit I highly doubt you'll have an issue. And I bet if it does start slipping, that aluminum pulley will heat up and expand so it won't slip for long.

I'm having a hard time finding someone in Dallas to even do it. How would you get the pulley off without the old locking system ?

FYI - that walbro 450 doesn't fit in fuel pump holder. Have to get creative. A few write ups exist on here. Inter cooler pages in instructions are useless since we went bigger setup. Had to hammer a bit down on sides to get bracket holding intercooler to fit. It's snug.

They make devices called pulley wrenches that use a belt or chain to wrap around the pulley with a handle on them. They rely on the belt/chain tension/friction against the pulley surface to keep the pulley still while you undo the crank bolt.

I have the tts sport kit currently running at 410bhp, i have no issues with the fitting of the crank pulley, im also using the walbro 255, others i know of have had close to 500bhp on the race setup with no issues of the pulley slipping. This kit has been around for a long time over here, its been upgraded over the years with many changes, the current version of this kit is so much better than the originals, many if not all weakness in bolts, pulleys etc have been identified and upgraded. Im currently on a slightly older setup, using a c38-81 and different pulleys/bearings, one day i may upgrade the pulleys/bearings to the latest setup. Probably once they start to wear out.
i would have trust in tts that there will be no issues, as far as im concerned its tried and tested.

I've just done 2850 miles around Europe in 9 days with no issues. There was some seriously quick driving going on. My last day was over 700 miles with speeds over 160 mph at times. Also lots of tight Italian mountain passes with 100's of miles of tight bends cut and thrust driving. It was awesome. Check out the Euromeet 2014 on the international threads.

You wont need to worry about the pulley spinning. The tightness of the torque spec will keep it from spinning.
King motorsports had it done for me very quickly. Dropped it off and picked it up withing 2 hours.

Appreciate everyone's input. I trust TTSs judgement, but I just wanted to hear what fellow s2kiers had to say. Finally found someone to machine pulley, should be done with install next weekend. I'm going to run Walbro 255 till I upgrade fuel pump wiring.
