Default Help w/ Turbo!

Currently I have....

IP S1 Street kit.

3" downpipe
Intercooler
Piping
Boost controller
3.5 MAP w/ UEGO built in
Manifold
Turbo
BOV

I THINK I need....

Turbo timer
Pod
Wideband 02
Boost gauge kit
Oil Return
Injectors (675cc)
Fuel pump

I think that's all I need. I have a Greddy E-manage Ultimate. Goals, 350-400whp DD. I was trying to buy the AEM gauges from someone in FS thread, but he told me I needed AEM EMS for them to work . So I keep getting told different things and I don't know WTF is going on and why F/I is so ****** confusing.

Will EMU work fine with AEM gauges? Preferably these gauges - https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.ph...f=107&t=814226

You need standalone guages for wideband and boost; serial guages can be programed via aem. You are compromising yourself with the ultimate. Aem or kpro would be better.

no it will not work with the emanage ultimate.
those gauges are made to read/communicate with the AEM EMS.

blow off valves don't come is sizes. you are probably thinking wastegates (which is something you left off your list) a 38mm wastegate would be fine. not needed if your turbo is internally wastegated. you also forgot the oil feed line (-3 an).
standard aem gauges will work but not the serial

^bov's do come in sizes.

38mm is like a greddy type-s/r/rs/z, then you can get 40mm hks, or 50mm tial. and then the tial comes in different size springs that pertain to vac.

you dont need a turbo timer.

go K-pro if you dont mind buying a bunch of rsx sensors. go aem if you dont mind some of its quirks.

I found out that I do have a BOV. And a wastegate.

So I guess I need to invest in a AEM series 2 and sell my EMU...? Or Kpro...

It's going to be really painful to try and assemble your own kit without a lot of firsthand knowledge.

That's my problem. I don't know shit about this garbage and this is my first F/I kit. I know this....

How to install the downpipe, intercooler, manifold, and turbo itself.

Thats what I know. All this mechanical garbage that comes with owning a turbo I know jack shit about and its really starting to tick me off. Really, how is it THIS HARD to put together a turbo setup. I am really getting close to just buying a supercharger.

LOL @ my s2ki name, I guess it shows

Since you're kit is based off Inline Pro, I would suggest you read through Scott's build.

https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=670166

it will give you some ideas on what parts are needed to complete the kit.

I just hope its not your daily. If its not just dive in. You will know when you need something when you need it. pipes couplers t bolt clamps. All of that small stuff will show itself eventually if you are missing it. Mounting the intercooler is always fun.
