Called inline today, block is scheduled to be bored/honed on Wednesday.

Doubt I'll get it back by the weekend

Talked to their engine builder and went over a couple clearancing questions I had, can't wait to get it back so I can get it together and back in the car!!

Cut it with an air saw and then an air grinder type thing to clean/straighten the edges, and then a rough file to take out some burrs/etc...and then a carbide bit to do the corners, and then some sandpaper to feather the edges.

No paint.

Picked up the mesh tonight, going to get it cut out in the next few days and painted.
I did mine using basic hand tools from Home Depot. The Ryobi cordless drill / jigsaw set worked awesome. Just pop a hole using the drill, and then use a 32- or 36-tooth-per-inch jigsaw blade and it cuts through the hood like butter. If you're patient and careful with the jigsaw, you can cut all the corners with it.

I also bought a few rotary sanding bits so I could use the drill to sand down the edges. Just be careful to tape the hood first so you don't scratch it if the drill slips. I'm not that accurate when working with my hands, so I was surprised and pleased with the results. I put touch-up paint along the edges to prevent oxidation.

As long as I want, it's my thread.

As others have stated, I'd appreciate you NEVER posting in any of my threads.

i really really like the hood bro.

and it has no doubt been a huge pain in the ass to have to do all this, but a built block from inline pro under the hood will give you all sorts of complacency and reliability.

Several things can cause this. Usually its lack of lubrication. Fuel wash is a possibility since your likely good about checking your oil level and normal change intervals. If your running an excessively rich or poor tune, incomplete combustion/fuel contaminating your oil and reducing the lubricating effectiveness, coupled with heat… all can cause this.
