I recently had a black c6zo6 in the shop and it is a baddddd mother***** 1000whp is gonna be fun in any sports car. I love the ls7 as well stock form. Just something about a turbo s2000 made me want more power and fall inlove with the car all over again. 800whp is more then enough for the street. I have the block being built to withstand the 700whp for the street "reliably" I just didn't like seeing the scoring and didn't want to deal with the honing and boring of the frm sleeves. To each his own. Plus if you do all the work yourself if your motivated enough you save a lot $$ I've beat some c6's lightly modded and I love the look on there faces

That’s one of the joys of owning a car like the S2000. When you own a car like the zo6 your expected to win, you don’t get the same satisfaction when you do. But when you lose in a vet its really humiliating

It’s always more fun to be looked at as the underdog. I think the vet overall would be less fun to own and drive no matter what power its putting down. If I were going to get some big American muscle I’d go for something a little more exotic looking and unique like the viper. Vets don’t have allot of curb appeal to me, plus every grey haired asshole owns one.

Sorry to burst anyones bubble

^ hahaha I did a viper and all he could do is smile nod his head and give me a thumbs up oh and it was on some straights and some twisties but as we sit we are putting down more whp then they are at the crank. The joy of having a car that's paid off and potentially beating 90 percent of cars out there with 25psi and a little meth injection to me is still worth more to me than buying a 50k+ car that's slower.

Dropped the block off at fed ex yesterday.

I'm in WV, so sending it to VA wasn't to bad.

Total weight was 71lbs including the block/girdle, rubbermaid tote and 150' of bubble wrap, haha.

Only cost me ~$34 buck to ground ship it.

Tracking will show it arrives on Monday.

Pistons won't be in until thursday-friday, so I should have it back in over a week and a 1/2. Pumped.

Where can I get a decent helms manual...need it for the tq specs/etc.

Well, while the motor is out and away, I figured I'd turn my attention to a few other details.

Had a friend of mine who is a body man, do the deed, he has a much steadier hand than I.

Started off with one practiclly mint 05 S2000 Hood.

Laying out the pattern.

No turning back.

One down, 2 more to go.

Adding some finishing touches.

Voila

I have to pickup some mesh to lay underneath, finish it off neatly, but overall it turned out GREAT. Big thanks to Ash for lending a steady hand.

He used to run a body shop, now he only does it on the side...he is actually my insurance agent

If you see the red camero in the background, he painted the ghost flames on that YEARS ago, it make over 600whp on a blown ~387 or something, lol.

I still rather be you guys in the s2k pulling on z06's.
problem is, if you are like me, I seem to always run into Modded Z06's and it doesnt take much modding for them to keep up with/pull on a 550RWHP s2000

now, a 700RWHP S2k is a different story

That’s insane. I can't even emagine what that feels like.
