Finally, got my main clearances squared away.

they are all between .0013 - .0015

2

3

Worked out pretty consistent, although it cost me a set of all green bearings, but whatever.

Now onto the rods/pistons, lol.

Yea, I do all my own work, except for tig welding (no tig), tuning and the machine work. Of course besides the obvious of saving me money, it's a pride thing. I learn and I can look back and say, "I did that". Not to mention I feel more comfortable b/c I know the specs/etc instead of relying on someone else to get it right for me.

If something bad were to happen, I have nobody else to blame but myself.

I'm calling it a day today I think. Gonna relax and watch some football with the girl unit, I'll it up the rods this week.

It's my 3rd motor. One Honda, one Eclipse. Although the 2 before I wasn't as careful b/c I wasn't pushing them as hard.

9:1.

Looking back I wish I would have gotten 9:5.1 or 10:1.1 and bored it a few mm over.

Oh well.

What gas are you going to run?

For 700 hp 9:1 will work good, its pretty easy to find a turbo that will make that power, so the extra few hp you'd get from the motor being higher compression wont really be worth the trade off.

93.

lol, not sure. I'll push the meth out to the 600whp mark, so I can keep that for my "street" tune, and then prolly jump to 116 to max it out.

My only gripe is that I don't have 116 easily accessible to me, which SUCKS, I do have 110 though. Not sure if thats suitable for 700whp.
