Nice man, I think I've read every post in your V2 thread. Looking forward to this one as well. The V160 seems so small sitting on the counter like that!

BTW I love your garage walls. Been trying to start planning to get my garage looking right, but it just seems like such a huge task. Should have done everything I wanted to do to it before I moved into the house. Now there's shelves and tool cases and all kinds of crap in there that I'll have to move out when I sheet rock/putty/sand/paint/stain the floor/etc. Ugh, so much work... but I know I would really enjoy the result.

What made you go with the v160?
Thanks! I've been in contact with a local importer; finally had one in stock and he told me "show up with $4k and it's yours." Tossed it in the trunk of my TSX Didn't want to worry about possible shipping issues.

Thanks Nesar. I'll let you know when I swing by. Might not be until January though. I've decided to teach myself how to weld lol. Picking up a TIG in the next few weeks (I'm going to build the cage/cutout the factory crossmember/build an exhaust).

Thanks! The highlighted section of your post is the reason why I haven't done anything with the floor. The next house will have a lift for sure, so I'll likely go with a RaceDeck (or similar) setup. What color scheme are you considering for the walls?

The v160 is surprisingly small. I was able to lift it up on to my workbench without issue.

Good on you man! Do you plan to replicate another cage or design one yourself?

Going to buy a prebent 'kit' from S&W; making changes as necessary.

Thanks. I was starting to lose hope of finding a v160 locally (and was leaning towards the GForce 5spd). The v160 is definitely a better option for me since I do plan on driving the car on the street occasionally.

Ahhh I don't know. The exterior of my house is kinda beige with bluish shutters, so just for consistency I'll probably do beige walls with a bluish floor. I don't think I'm bold enough to do the two-tone with "racing stripe" like you have, hahaha. Been trying to collect some random banners/flags/signs to hang up in there as well.

Cool. The stripe is actually vinyl and can be removed easily (vinylstriping.com) should I ever decide to change colors etc. I chose red because I had an Ardent Red Elise at the time lol.
