True. Still not sure I want to V8 swap the car; I'm quite fond of the F series engines.

Well, the Eastwood TIG worked for 10 minutes (total usage time). After that, even after a sufficient cooling period, the arc wouldn't strike (foot or finger pedals). I shipped it back this morning; hopefully will be refunded within the next few days. I went ahead a bought a Miller 180 Diversion (going with the BOAT approach with this build it seems lol). The ten minutes of welding was fun though Can't wait to continue

Seems to be my plan as well. I just wanted a turbo and the necessary things to get it running well and here I am now with shaved intake manifolds with ported throttle bodies, upgraded valvetrain, different turbo, and whatever comes into my view next it seems!

So what's the plan for you. Inline pro built 2.7+ all motor or build 2.4 turbo? Stock sleeves or are u going to sleeve it. Or are u just going to go with the big bad v8?

Either a built 2.4 litre turbo or all motor 2.7 (listed in order of likelihood). Going with aftermarket sleeves regardless.

Are you converting it to a drag-only car or will it still be a street beast? If the former, you could just go with a small cell up front.
