One thing I would give Kraftwerks over the other kits is the position of the blower. It's lower and sits around the axle line keeping CG lower and more centered.

The SOS kit doesn't do that, the HKS kit I guess does a better job than SOS.

However, I own an SOS kit for three main reasons,
1. ease of installation and access to everything in the engine bay
2. Power potential of the kit in comparison
3. Most important imo, unbelievable customer support from SOS. Whether it's sourcing replacement parts or diagnosing an issue with the system, they're there to help regardless of whether you picked up the kit brand new from them or used off the forum.

I think if you're looking at a hybrid, DD / Track duty car, go with an SOS kit, if you want something track only I'd pick an SOS/kraftwerks

The HKS doesn't really do anything spectacular for me to pick it over the others out there

Actually the new Kraftwerks design has the blower sitting directly in front of the cylinder head, which despite being higher CG I think is a much better location as far as accessibility of the blower as well as the rest of the engine bay. I'm seeing a peak of 16psi on my AP2 with the new C38-81 Kraftwerks kit, plenty of power!

Unfortunately, no. The local tuners here all lost my business, be it for lack of response, lack of experience, shitty attitude, or being booked for 3-4 weeks. So I'm in the middle of an eTune with Evans and couldn't be happier with how that is going. Once the tune is all finished I may try to sneak in a dyno day just to see where it's at.

Hopefully next year I'll have a chance to get the tune finished up on a dyno.

Traction in second gear is iffy, and that's on Star Specs in good shape, so regardless of the numbers, I've got all the power I want (and there's still a lot of tuning left to do).

Sorry to hear about the shops. You won't have any trouble with Evans. I'm considering an Etune from him next year for E85...then let my local shop finish it up. Good luck!

There's a comparison dyno between HKS, KW and Vortech I believe.

HKS compared well IIRC.

I would be more concerned about being able to work on the SC and visibility. Able to spot leaks and see where a problem might be would out-weight center of gravity or weight.

50lbs in the front won't mean much to 98% of the people. IMHO
