How do I use a Digital Multi-meter
I *think* the one with COM under it is "common ground", the black probe, and the red one will vary depending on what you are reading. I *think* the red on goes in the far right one when reading Voltage, the second to left when reading impediance, and far left when reading amperage.
Never used that one before, but that is what the markings on the faceplate look like. Mine just has 2 ports...

I assume the link w/meter posted is the exact one you own..
There are 4 ports:
1st one: A is for Amps (Current)
2nd one: Omega symbol w/the arrow-looking symbol to the left of it (means Diode) Current only flows through diodes in one direction and certain criteria have to be met for the gate to open for current to go thru. (Used to chk diodes, based on what I was taught) We used this setting sometimes for basic resistance readings because it would beep when there was continuity. I do not know if this particular meter does that tho...
3rd one: Common ground (Black lead goes here for basic voltage and resistance readings)
4th one: Voltage port: (Red lead goes here for basic voltage and resistance readings)
