Default I need help 2001 turbo s2000, CA

I bought a 2001 turbo s2000 from s2ki classified. Basicly I drove 1000 miles to pick up the car and 110 miles later the engine is knocking on low rpm idle-4k with oil on cylinder 3. Was 100% rebuilt with 592 miles. No oil starvation, turbo at 2 pounds of boost for safety drive home. Please help 8317068926

What is the engine management? Who did the tune, build? Did you do a compression or leakdown test before purchasing? Have you looked at your spark plugs?? You really shouldn't be knocking at idle. What is your idle timing at?

Ouch sorry to hear. Why I'd never buy a turbo S2000 unless I knew the owner well and history of car!

That sucks. I would take it to a tunner to check things over and get it returned asap.

Ok so after 1000 miles from Idaho to california(I drove). The knock did not get worse but it's there I will post a video later tomorrow. The car has power still and doesn't misfire. Has a pt6135r turbo, inline pro manifold, act clutch, light weight flywheel, 50 mm tial waste gate, aem ems version 1. He car got low voltage to ecu while driving I suspect. Replaced the stoopid battery positive terminal and car had current power to electronics again.. thank you so much for the replay I had no idea I was responded to yet. The owner did the build and tune. He gave me a grand back in compensation but I'm still very unhappy. I used 91 octane fuel 10% ethanol possibly, when it's tuned at 91 octane straight. The car never could idle well even without know. Would die consistently at idle.

having a hard time understanding what you wrote.

where in california are you located?

the car is tuned on 91 for sure?

i would take to a tuner and/or shop to have it inspected

Engine is 100% rebuilt and I trusted him, it's tuned terribly though. All his marked were still on timing chain and sprockets, everything in oil pan looked new. There was definitely some weirdness going on though in the original transaction, was rushed and a lot of details were left UN said like don't put 10% ethanol 91 octane in. All in all good guy I think. I need to find a tuner in Santa Cruz, monetary, San Jose, Sacramento area (closest to me to farthest)

Car needs a lot of work though to make it sound. It was carelessly built after taking a deeper look into missing bolts, wire ties, and exhaust hanging. I was a zombie from driving for 15 hours straight and just bought it expecting Murphy's law not to be the case
