Sometimes I run 91 with my Id2000s and have no issues. I had a Jeff Evans etune though.

Every single person that I have talk to that has actual real world experience with straight 91/93octane pump fuel and 2000cc injectors all day that the car runs like crap. You have got to be the first one. Do you actually drive you car on the street in stop and go traffic with the AC using straight pump gas and 2000cc injectors? Does the car really idle good and not crazy ritch?

I got my etune from Jeff Evans about three years ago. I performed a lot of touch ups on my 91 and e85 tunes since then.

Yes. I drive the car on the street. I put about 7k miles on my s2k a year. I run a tank of 91 once every few months. My 91 tune is my limp mode tune, but it idles fine at mid 13s AFR. I couldn't get it to idle well at 14.5:1 and maintain low rpms. It definitely doesn't idle as well as when I had rc650s and 91, but I'm not going to cry about it and buy some other injectors. I followed this thread below to touch up my idle. It took some time, but it is fine.

That's dead on.

I've got ID 2000's on E85, and I can't get my idle to run lean like that without it chasing around. My car idles WAY rich, but it's smooth, and then it gets spotty when I start to lean it out.

How much timing advance are you all running at idle?

It's weird, I drove it a bunch yesterday and it didn't want to idle that smooth most of the time. Maybe I'll try widening my dead band range before the ICV kicks in (currently I have it at -25 and +50 rpm). I'm running 11.5* at idle on the map, but then it gets pulled back a bit to ~10* by the idle correction table.

HEre is another great how-to on idle tuning.

Made a few more adjustments, most notably making a more aggressive curve in the ign vs idle table and leaning out the idle fuel map by a click. Idles pretty damn nice now!
