Default Information

I need some input from you guys that have SC.
I am looking at upgrading my OEM radiator to a Koyo. Not because of any overheating problems, but I thought a better unit would decrease the temp, and increase the horsepower.
Is our stock unit good enough or would the upgrade help?
If it matters my ride is street driven only, with a 71/2 lb pulley on the SC.
I have a AEM and Comptech header, and custom exhust.

thanks

Which SC kit do you have? If it is Comptech than you have an upgraded pulley on the car. If that's the case, an aftermarket radiotor will be helpful. It is not a must though. With either kit, you can use the Mugen Thermostat and Mugen Fan Switch.

Then if you ask me, the Mugen Thermostat and Fan Switch is a MUST. Koyo is optional...

BTW, Comptech normally has 7lb pulley, you said you have 7.5lbs. Is the kit Aftercooled? Because an non-aftercooled kit will produce .5 lbs more than the aftercooler one

Just an FYI... you shouldn't need an aftermarket Fan switch if you have an EMS.

You should be able to go in and change the fan engagement temp using the EMS.
