Default Injector leaking fuel

Hi All,

Other than the tune, my SOS sc kit is now on the car and everything was going smoothly until we noticed one of the injectors was pissing out fuel.
I have a feeling the injector seal has a small split it in, this must be the cause of the leak as i should imagine it's rather rare for the injector to be damaged as they are brand new.?
I don't suppose someone could shed some light on the part number for these seals so i can get all 4 replaced? i thought the injector kit would of come with new seals but this doesn't seem to be the case.

Not sure if it makes much of a difference but the injectors i have are the ID 1000 with a plug and play kit from Science of speed.

I will try to get some pictures up once we take them off again on Monday!

Other than that, the install was spot on, the quality of the SOS kit is pretty dam impressive!

Cheers
Elliot

very common to "pinch" an injector o-ring during install. you can pick up a new pack of these usually at an auto parts supplier or by contacting ID and getting another set.

Thanks dude , I don't suppose you know if the seals are meant to be replaced with aftermarket ones from ID? or would ordering a set of oem seals from Honda work ? If so I should be able to get them from my local dealer in the uk. If not Ill just try SOS to see if they have any on the shelf.
Cheers

Get the o rings that are specific for that ID injector.

I pinched mine during the initial install. I didn't lube the bore on the fuel rail enough. What I did the second time around is I took the OEM injectors and slapped a bunch of oil on the o ring and shoved it in and out of the bore a few times, to get it nice and lubricated. Then I installed the ID injectors......that made them slide in easier.

Now I ride with a fire extinguisher!!
