Glad this worked out for you Scott!
You knew it would though after What Mase did with my car.

I'm going to have to get me an ap2 cam since I'm on the log like you.. Gives me an excuse to have Mase out later this year for a retune. LOL
for now I'm fine.. My car is eating tires! Second gear once in vtec just goes up in smoke! Can't imagine how your car on race gas is... Must be insane!!!

Are you guys controlling boost through the AEM or a boost controller. How hard is it to change out to an AP2 cam?

Revenge, the cams are very easy to change the hardest part is the valve adjustment and with the correct 10mm adjustment tool it is not bad at all.

The new Ultragate seems to be very good, I am not sure if it will preform as well on a tubular manifold but for a cast it will do great.

If you need a boost solenoid let me know you can get them online for $35 shipped and the AEM does better than any boost controller you can buy.

Well, it looks like the car is going to go back under the knife soon. I talked to several of the guys here in KC and we are going to try and get Mase back around June for another tuning day.

This time I will be prepared, I felt bad that I was not 100% ready for him to come out but luckily he has a lot of patients.

So now all I have to do is decide which direction to take this build. Right now I am swaying toward a new tubular manifold, 0.82AR turbine housing, factory exhaust and a cutout.

BTW, Mase I never said thank you but we all appreciated you coming out and look forward to putting you to the test once again.

Oh, and have you dethawed yet?

thanks for the response..

the valve adjustment can be a pita but with the awesome time saver 10mm tool its not that bad..

the solenoids can be found on the internet like he said for cheap, mac makes them, i picked mine up at a prop store..

its funny u mention this, i was looking at the other guy's dyno that did the mase kit and then looking at yours. your race gas tune and his pump gas tune are close. theres some midrange you gave up, but not as much as i woulda thought with u being log mani. what would be nice is you could get yoru race tune power on pump gas. tahts where i saw the big diffrence, your pump tune and his pump tune really show you the mani difference.

the other guy had a built block, but your running a 3mm HG so its similiar results still. on the positive side also, you could do a race gas tune to near 700 rofl.

yeah, DO IT! mase will tune that bitch to perfection.
