Default What is needed for 9psi?

What is needed to run 9psi safely? What about 11psi?

I have heard about using a thicker headgasket to loose some compression. Is it worth the trouble? What about this Hondata Gasket for the intake to head for cooling?

And on the issue of tuning and fuel. Ditching the FMU and going with larger injectors a good idea? Also on the tuning is it well worth it to go with an AEM over a VAFC? I figure it would be safer with a AEM.

Looking for around 340-355 rwhp.

Set up so far is a Comptech 2001 S2K with custom FMIC.

At the very least on 9psi an e-manage and a set of 440 or 550cc injectors. 11psi , 550's should cover as well. The Best choice is the EMS.

A VAFC/SAFC is not going to get the job done.

The hondata gasket isn't going to help your fuel tuning issues.

How much do you want to spend? 2k? go with the e-manage. 5k? go with the EMS.

You have to figure tuning costs as well, not just parts prices. It's going to take at least 2-3 hours to tune the e-manage, and prob 4x that for the EMS. I'd consider flying in a reputable EMS tuner to get the job done.

Be prepared to break things on your way.

You look to be on the right track. With 11 lbs you should see about 350 hp with good tuning on your AEM EMS. Now the bad news, 11 lbs with 11:0 to 1 compression is probably to much for reliability. Take 9 lbs with reliability and be happy. I suggest you avoid the head gasket fix. We have changed many of them over the years with the life span often measured in minutes or hours.
