Default installed T-timer, doesnt lock till engine shuts

i just installed a turbo timer on my 2001 s2k. the timer works fine. however, i have to wait for the engine to shut down outside before i can lock the car. i have the oem alarm system. is there anywhere to by pass the alarm system so that i can lock my car while the engine is running? thank you for your help.

Talking from no technical experience, but I believe the work around makes your factory alarm worthless.

If you pull and hold the inside door handle you can manually lock the drivers door. This works with almost all cars. Then just close the door. Catch is your keys can be locked in the car this way so be carefull.
