Default 1999 keyless?

I currently own a 1999 rhd S that doesn't has the keyless entry that Honda introduced in 2000. I was wondering if it is possible to install an EOM keyless system/alarm inside my 1999 S and what parts I need. There is this aftermarket alarm installed but it doesn't unlock the doors when i press unlock, i still have to manually open the door with my key. Currently I removed the fuses from the aftermarket alarm cause it went of spontaneously and was very annoying.

Any help is appreciated.

you will have to have door lock actuators installed if your car doesnt have it already.

If you have lock the door from the inside using the lock switch on the driver side. Does your passenger side lock as well? or if you unlock/lock using your key (unlocking twice) do both sides unlock/lock? if they do then you already have the locking actuators. they just need to be hooked up to your alarm system by an installer.

if you dont have actuators in your car. you need to have them installed. hope that helps.!

Correction. If unlocking the driver's side unlocks the passenger side you have an actuator IN THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR. Not necessarily in the drivers side door.

well then try unlocking/locking the passengerside door from the outside and see if the driverside will unlock/lock. any complaints?

Only with your attitude.

Many cars only have an actuator in the passenger side door. Your test overlooked that.

We don't celebrate ignorance here.

whoa.. calm down now.. I am merely trying to help the OP. if you have a problem with that.. well then i dont know. unlike your first post on this thread... he already said he has an aftermarket alarm. yet you just say "Just go aftermarket. " how does that help?

Dont talk to me about ignorance.

He said he has an aftermarket alarm that doesn't work and is considering the OEM keyless entry system.

IMNSHO he would be better off replacing the non-working alarm with an aftermarket alarm (that works) with keyless entry system built in.

Clear enough for you?

Listen. I am simply trying to have the OP identify what he needs first before going out to spend money. yet you keep bashing my tactics of providing information that the OP can use himself. Please tell me am I wrong to try to help the OP with more info then to tell the OP to throw money at it?

Also.. yes in the end he might be better off replacing the non working alarm system. but what about the actual actuators? the test is to see if they are even there to start with. no where did i ever say that he should not get another alarm system. but he should definitely test to see if he does have actuators on both sides so that whatever shops he takes it to doesnt sell him something that he doesnt need.

You are not wrong in trying to help the OP. But you were wrong in your suggested test.

I pointed this out and your ego didn't like it.

The sooner you can get over yourself the sooner we can move on.
