Default Installing inline pro 3mm head gasket on 2005 s200

I installed inline pro 3mm head gasket on my 2005 s2000 (f22) but the timing chain has too much tension and I did not put in the timing chain tensioner on yet. Do I need a longer timing chain? What am I doing wrong? I there any other way to adjust the timing chain tension? How do I solve this problem. Thanks in advance.

Just put it together. The guides will wear adequately in the first 50Km.

I got your email but thought od just reply on here. Do what he said, just put the tensioner on and it will wear in fine. The chain is going to be tighter with the 3mm HG but its no problem.

You dont have to reclock the gear. It only moves about .010 of an inch and really wont change a thing. You can just leave the gears the way they are and not worry about it.

^ I agree. I didn't take the cog out of mine either. This is one of the few drawbscks of just installing a HG as opposed to buiilding the motor.

Thanks for the responses. I reclocked the gear. I spoke with someone from inline pro today and they said the additional tension caused by the 3mm head gasket is fine. I should be done putting on the turbo by friday. I will let you guys know if the car runs okay. I will break in the engine for 500 miles and then do a oil change because the timing chain guide will wear done a little.
