Intake cam needs replacing and im thinking of a Toda Spec A
Ok so here it goes.
Im in the navy and just got back from deployment and before i left i had issues with my AP1 and didn't have enough time to figure it out so it sat for the last 8 months not running. i got back and started taking a look at her and when i removed my valve cover i found some real nice chocolate milk looking stuff inside. As soon as i saw this i thought might be a head gasket so i proceeded to pull the head and found a crack in the #4 cyl sleeve and pulled the motor out. i then pulled the pistons and rods out, sent Laskey racing an email and shipped my block a bit later. Well its coming around time to start reassembling everything and i remember that there was some rust growing on the intake cam. i need to order a new cam before its all together and i was thinking about getting a Toda spec A intake cam for it. only reason im thinking about it is from my past turbo honda experience when a few of my buddies swapped in an ITR intake cam and a GSR exhaust for there turbo b-series setups and had good results from it. i know its kinda a rant but its just got my mind going.
Thanks in advance
Eddie

How bad is the rust? I had slight rust on my cams but I took 2000grit sandpaper and gave it a very very light scuffing. I mean just enough to take the smallest amounts of rust off. I haven't had any issues and I had my cams inspected.
If anything I wold stick with stock cams. From my understanding these cams are pretty tough factory.
