Here are the dyno results...

Dyno 1:
Hytech long tube S/C header W/Twin loop (2.75" to dual 2.5" W/2.75" TP) VS Hytech long tube S/C header W/Fujitsubo (60mm to dual 50mm W/60mm TP)

Dyno 2:
Hytech long tube S/C header W/Twin loop VS Hytech long tube S/C header W/Fujitsubo VS Last years run J's header W/Fujitsubo

So what have I learned?...

The Hytech long tube S/C header is a great header and is worth some additional HP especially when used on a larger dia. exhaust (and perhaps better as the HP increases) and just a bit on a 60mm exhaust.

The J's header is a very good header too, but does not seem to be as good as the Hytech on a larger dia. exhaust, but over all a bit better below about 4500rpm.

great info..
seems a Good 4-2-1 header performs nearly good as a specific 4-1 SC specific one

Wrong. The comparison used the same 4-1 long tube header but with different exhausts.

Both wrong...Hytech IS a 4-2-1 as is the J's.

Brian

Pictures of the exact headers that were used...

Ah, thought you were using the 4-1 longtube SC header Brian. Or is this the only Hytech header?

After looking at this. Do you guys think that stock exhaust perform better than a 70mm dual exhaust in a SC engine? I'm currently comptech 9psi with comptech header and stock exh but mi car is not that fun to drive as the SC muffles engine intake noise and the exh is just stock. If I decide to change my exhaust for an Invidia q300 will I loose power?

Interesting how my boost seems to have dropped 2.6 psi and yet my torque and power went up with this Hytech supercharger header.

The header flows enough to open up the exhaust and drop the boost. Exactly what I wanted.

I have never done any testing on the S2000's stock exhaust system, so I really cannot say. I would ONLY assume that gains may be had. I would choose a system that you like the sound of and looks of FIRST.

Please note that in MY testing, any gains or losses were NOT HUGE. I would not expect anything big.

In MY opinion the only REAL way to test an exhaust (OE or other) to see which will make the most power is to take a given car with an exhaust, OPTIMALLY tune the engine (this is very important) with that exhaust and note the results. Then, using THE SAME CAR, change to the next chosen exhaust and OPTIMALLY re-tune the engine again (again, very important) for the new exhaust and note the results. Just using the stock factory issue ECU (and OE program) does not constitute as "optimally tuned". (yes environmental changes do apply IE: temperature, barometric pressure, humidity etc.) This would be a fair procedure of how to compare one exhaust to another.

However many companies simply test by purely "bolting on" a system and leave tuning alone (IE; OE ecu) and see what they get. This is fine for those who only want a system that they can bolt on and make some power.

Thanks,
Brian
