As can be imagined I would think, I'm still feeling a little bit raw over this, after all I am around $8000 this side of getting it sorted.

So it begins, I've just ordered a new oem 2.2 crank and oil pump, only $1700 but having thrown close on $10.000 at what is a scrap engine it's loose change. But if the cheap things like pistons weren't changed I suspect things like crank, con rods and oil pump will be of dubious condition.

As I can't keep throwing money at this engine my intentions are to replace every moving part inside it, especially having experienced the quality of work that Kings Performance engine builder seems to send out as a $12000 built motor.

The only contact I've had with Fernando were the derogatory comments about me being a cheapskate earlier in this thread.

I haven't heard anything Jim, so I've started to buy new components to go into the engine. The biggest expense is going to be paying for the labour.Im not very well at the moment so I'm not upto pulling the engine out hence I've got to pay Gary to do the work.

I notice in another post a guy says his friend had an EVO engine built by Kings which was less than perfect......more info needed on that I think.....

I just noticed this has gone off the first page, so a little drip feed update is needed.

I just got a message of my tuner to say my car is ready for collection. Its making 544@1.4bar,

As I don't have any money to rebuild the engine at the moment I have a choice.I either park it until I can afford the rebuild and miss what's left of the summer season here in the uk, or I run it knowing the issues, put up with the piston slap, extra oil consumption and smoking.I'm just hoping nothing else fails in this engine which will destroy the only good part that's left.....The Block.Seeing that Kings Performance have got their heads shoved up their ass' s and pretend I no longer exist, even a catastrophic failure is of no loss or hindrance to them.It is going to have to be a risk and an expense I'm going to have to take, but a major failure will of course be photographed and analysed and posted up on here for all to see and judge.

Yeah thats tough, I don't know how long it would run like that, but if you do push it hard it could potentially grenade the whole motor.

i had a project car with a motor like that. it did not end well driving it. if i was you, i would park it until you can eiher A. rebuild the motor or B toss a stocker in. option C will end with a blown motor, F'd up block, massive carnage and you stuck on the side of the road.

The thing is Kings Performance build the fastest s2000's in the world.....mmmm hope that doesn't mean the fastest to blow up.After all the engine has done a massive 1200 miles from being built by their engine builder who has been building their engines for 8 years.Holy shite, I'm doomed.

Not quit Jim but probably more reliable.

Any way more spending to put right Kings Performance ' s gross incompetence and arrogance.

I've Just bought my inline pro 6.6 valve kit and x section con rods with upgraded wrist pins off Bernard at Jjautowerks $1900 thanks very much Fernando. That makes a total of around $4000 I've now spent on engine components when For $500 he could have put a new set of pistons in what he claims is a $12.000 rebuilt engine.....

Shocking really,he doesn't deserve to sell another built engine to anybody if this is the quality of workmanship and the afters ales they will get if things go wrong.

Just my opinion really but worth thinking about if you consider buying an engine off them.
