I haven't come across Arias Pistons before.out of interest why did you choose these? Will you be posting the different stages of the new uk engine build? It would be good to see how the pros do it

Arias are supposed to be super heavy duty Pistons, when I asked about uprated wrist pins (which unfortunately I bought a set off Bernard) they told me the stock ones are good for 1200 hp.

I'm not sure abut an engine build thread because asking Gary to do that would be like extracting teeth, plus he farms out things like block machining and honing so it wouldn't be practical.

What I will do is put up a list of the parts and prices for the various bits like having the head rebuilt, including having the stud holes machined for the beast headstuds I've got for it.I've had to commit myself with the pistons being 88mm with the head gasket to suit because I have no idea what size pistons are in it now,and there is nobody who will tell me.Plus time is moving on and waiting to have pistons made once we find out the bore size isn't really practical.

I will be as open and honest as I can regarding the rebuild and the pricing but I suspect it's going to be in the £6-8000 with labour.....very nice when it was sent out as a new build by Kings Performance for which they charge a staggering $12.000.

The parts list and pricing will be very handy to people that's for sure. I think Garry will be flooded with f20 engine work once people see your one built to perfection....oh and the arias pistons are impressive....1200hp wow.

I find it absolutely amazing that its been nearly a year and we still haven't seen any proof of what went wrong but everyone still wants to jump on your bandwagon. No compression test, no leakdown test and no videos whatsoever. Goes to show how many people on this board work on their own cars. Complaining without proof is crazy and the fact that so many people are on the bandwagon is worse. Im not saying nothing is wrong with the engine but I'd like to see some proof.

Unfortunately I don't feel the need to prove anything to you. From past comments and posts that I have seen of yours I'm pretty sure that anything I post up would either be beyond your understanding or wouldn't make any difference to you anyway.

I no longer need to justify myself as I've achieved what I set out to do....which I will explained. Now read carefully because all the remarks I get in favour of Kings Performance appear to have selective comments...as in they only seem to see what they want to see.I have not had any offer of help from them whatsoever,I have made my situation visible for people to see,it's up to them to chose weather to deal with them or not.As the motor hasn't been split yet I really need to future proof my engine,as I have spent way too much money on the piece of scrap I was provided with.

I've been off work for over 3 months through ill health,so I really cannot afford my motor being built at the moment. As you are showing such an interest in the outcome of the strip-down please feel free to pay my Labour charges. You can have all the parts that come out of my engine.or alternatively Get a life and leave the proper work for real men.
