Thanks slinkydog. I'm just sold on Kraftwerks. They seem so simple and overall a great system. SOS seem good too but like I said before, I have their clutch in my car and I'm not that pleased with it. It feels like stock normal driving, but if you go WOT when you shift at 8k it feels like you hit a brick wall and it wont go into gear and you have to push pretty hard to get it into gear. With that being said, if I'm not happy with their clutch, I feel like I may possibly have issues with their S/C kit.

Sounds like your clutch wasnt installed correctly. Fwiw

I took it to Honda and had the dealer install the clutch. Other than hard shifting at redline, it shifts like stock.

Going to the dealer to have anything installed is your first problem. Should be your last option for any repair whatsoever. Kraftwerks is dead as in not doing business anymore. The founders left the company and last I heard skunk 2 has taken over what remains. Which means zero customer service and basically no replacement parts. Have you even tried contacting them. Last time I tried there was no response. Good luck

I called yesterday and talked to a guy named Bryan. He was very helpful and answered all of my questions. I heard there were new owners or something like that. So far I am very pleased with them and haven't had any troubles.

Thats good to hear. I assumed they had gone under as no one has mentioned them on here in quite a while. I called and emailed numerous times last year, and never got a response. I'm glad there still going, the kits were nice and for the most part seemed to be good stuff. Not overly powerful, but not everyone wants a 500+hp road beast.

Agreed. Everyone thinks my car is a Corvette killer (which its not) just by its looks. I just want something that is 100% reliable and enough power to put a smile on my face, and confidently pull on a lightly modded Z28 or trans am. I'm not looking for "piss my pants" power lol

I wonder why no one has mentioned anything about them for a while? I've searched threads on the KW kits and they're all 2+ years old.

A lot of people have had issues with the Kraftwerks kit and their water pumps failing.. But when I talked to Brian @ Kraftwerks like 2 months ago he informed me that they have updated the kits.. And all the old gremlins should no longer be any issue..

it wasnt the waterpump it was the water pump pulley that bolts to it. the KW kit makes you remove it for some reason and either replace or reinstall, i cant remember, but bottom line is that pulley spider cracks and falls apart from the change KW makes you do to it. also, the blower is maxed out in rpm right out of the box. honestly, unless your getting it for half price, stay away and go sos or VT.

and as for the clutch, bring it to a place that specializes in honda aftermarket performance and i bet they can get that clutch working right. could need to be bled, or clutch pedal adjusted, combo of both, or a defective setup.

What sucks is I live in southern Illinois and there are NO shops around unless I travel at least to St. Louis or Chicago. That's why I took it to Honda to get replaced, that way if they screwed up they would have to fix it. I didnt want to mess with it. Ive never worked on an S2000 as mine has never gave me any problems. I have plenty of experience in B-series swaps etc.

I purchased the AP2 Kraftwerks kit last fall and have been nothing but pleased with the kit thus far; not a single problem in several thousand miles of driving. The ordering process was a terrible wait; I placed the order in June and didn't get it until October of last year (fortunately I didn't pay until the kit was ready to ship). I believe most of that wait was caused by sourcing and testing certain new components (e.g., the tensioner) in order to update the kit, and also by the restructuring crap left in the wake of the Jackson family leaving the business. I will say that the wait for this kit was definitely worth it. I wanted a kit that would distinguish itself from standard centrifugal superchargers and had heard nothing but praise from drivers who had installed a Rotrex on their K24 Atoms. The kit makes more power than I can really use at times; easily losing traction in 4th at the higher rev range is scary at speed. The Kraftwerks website appears to be still be up, so I assume they are still in business. Get the kit... you won't regret it.
